Mountain Climbing
Ruwenzori Mountains.
Commonly refered as the Mountains of the moon, the mist covered Ruwenzori
Mountains covers an area of 120 km in length and 48km width with an height
of 5109m above the sea level and the 3rd highest point in Africa. They
were first highlighted in 1991 and as a National Park covering 996 sq
Km of rugged Mountain terrain.
The remote fold chain of mountains, and along the Uganda western border makes a number of beautiful lakes, and the most attractive vegetation in East African region. The mountains were formed from a thrust up block during the creation of the western arm of the great East African Rift Valley and has Six peaks with permanent snow, three with glaciers at the centre of the range of which Margherita tops them all.
Mt. Margherita is the main summit point of the Ruwenzori mountains rising out the most glaciated area in Africa, the Stanley plateau and an extend of forest along the Lake Victoria basin to the East hosting a large number of animals among them Chimpanzees, Monkeys, leopards etc. The best recommended times to climbincludes mid-December to end February, and mid-June to mid-August.

the number of the minimum participants of 4 and above.
7 days Climb- visiting some national parks.
7 - 15 days climbing, National Parks, and Gorilla Trekking /Chimpanzees
visits.
