ROADS OF NAIROBI

Focusing on Nairobi as the central place there are many roads leading to different direction of Kenya. The major roads leading outside the city includes:-

Mombasa Road
As far as the Nairobi Mombasa road drives you to the JKIAirport it also takes further to branch with the Namanga Road as it straightens to Mombasa via the Mtito Adei and Voi. Most famous Building along this street includes the US Embassy, Kencel Communication Center, Kenya’s Leading Airport, Major Factories and hardware’s within the Kenya’s Industrial areas. Some of the Estates along this road includes Joakim opposite the US Embassy, South B/C, Nairobi west, Imara Daima and JKIA estates. Most people leaving around here are on rental basis and Co-operate houses. Mostly Vehicles using this road are maily from/to the Airport, or from/going to Mombasa or in between. Other vehicles using this road includes the Machakos town matatus.

Thika Road
This road leads to the outskirts and out of Nairobi via the Nairobi Ngara or Pangani area mostly for Garages and Second hand cloths and textile shops. It exits Nairobi toThika and outer parts of the Rural areas of Gatundu. Muranga. Matuu, Embu, Nyeri, Mt. Kenya etc. Most famous Estates along this road includes Kayole, with the majority of people leaving at their residential Home grounds.

Naivasha Road
This road lead all commuters southwards outside Nairobi city. It is the most Tourist Road second to Mombasa road, driving to the famous Naivasha and Nakuru town. It is via this road that all tourists branch to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, Samburu, and all the respective southward Nairobi Parks, and actually all the great Rift Valley lakes. It is also the road leading to the great Historic Northern part of Kenya L. Turkana and the rest. Most Estates found here from Nairobi includes the Mountain View Estate on the left side from Nairobi city and the Kangemi one of the Nairobi's Big Markets. Majority of people along this road from Kangemi at their Matrimonial lands. Mostly Business, livestock and farming are the activities dormaining this regions.

Karen Road
This road is off Ngong road at Karen and it connects the Ngong road to the Langata Road with very many interior diversions within. Some of the Major attraction off and around this road includes the famous Bomas of Kenya, The Animal Orphanage, Karen Blixen, among others.

Langata Road
Langata Road is one of the best and safest roads leading most of all to Wilson Airport the second Nairobi's Airport via the Nyayo Stadium, Carnivore Restaurant, The Nairobi National Park, Bomas of Kenya, straight to Ongata Rongai before Kiserian, and exits to the famous Magadi (Soda ash - salt production in Kenya). Most Estate here includes Airport View Estate this are rental houses and a mixture within the Rongai and Kiserian with a large no leaving at their own land and families. This road doesn't exit long. Most Bus/matatus plying this route includes no. 25,126 etc.

Ngong Road
One of the busiest roads of Nairobi, starting from the Kenyatta National Hospital area roundabout via the Uchumi Super Market (the Ngong Hyper) through the most famous Estate around, Adams arcade. To continue Kenya Science Teachers college before you get to the Meteorological Department of Kenya at the Dagoreti Corner where 80% of the bussiness around are Bar and Restaurants, Butcheries with the rest of the buildings covers for Hardware’s and workshops, and almost 2 or 1% retail shops. This is a known spot for Nyama/Kuku Choma attracting all the local croud of Ngong road through Karen and even outside. This road Continues to Ngong hills town via Ngong Rescourse and Karen. Most of Estates along this road includes City council, Santack with a large number of Tourists settling down within Adams, Karen, and a few in their own houses and lands. The good thing about this road is that there are plenty of buses and most of all the recently introduced Shuttle bus for Karen at Ksh.40/= while others go for Ksh 20 or 30 depending on the wether. Buses/Matatus plying this route include No. 111 for Ngong town,sometimes, 126 Kiserian(Bus only) other buses/Matatus convenient if going to places before Meteorological Department includes No 4for Riruta-satelite, 102withaka/Kikuyu, 2, This branch at the Junction roundabout of D. Corner into the famous Naivasha road via Kawangware (46) Market.

Namanga Road
This road is off the Mombasa Road and is going to the Border via Namanga and Bisil. It is the road that leads to the Kenya Border to Tanzania at the Namanga. This roads is busy for passengers going to the Amboseli National Park from Nairobi, or residents Namanga and nearby towns Business Men. Mostly it is the main road to Arusha and many Shuttles operating use this route twice daily to and from Tanzania and Kenya.

Jogoo Road
This is one of the fast roads and leading to the East lands. It also leads to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Air Freight Handling Centre and the Custom /duty offices.
